Our school achieved excellent results again in the preliminary round of the "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge

From July 16th to 20th, 2023, the 17th CIMC "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Preliminary Competition of the Ministry of Education competed in 52 sub regions nationwide. After intense competition, students from our school achieved excellent results in 7 competitions, winning a total of 5 special prizes, 14 first prizes, 12 second prizes, and 1 third prize.

 

The students from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation have won a total of 4 special awards, 9 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 1 third prize. Among them, in the sports control competition, three participating teams have all achieved 100 points, taking full marks and ranking in the top three of the four regions in East China; In the automation competition of the process industry, the results of the four participating teams ranked in the top four in the four regions of East China; In the discrete industry automation engineering practice competition, two participating teams achieved excellent results, including second and fourth place in the East China Fifth Division.

Students from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering participated in the CNC Digital Twin - Virtual Debugging Competition and the Intelligent Production Line and Collaborative Robot Competition, winning 1 special prize, 3 first prizes, and 6 second prizes. The School of Energy and Mechanical Engineering won one first prize in the CNC Digital Twin Virtual Debugging competition. The School of Economics and Management won one first prize in the intelligent production line and collaborative robot competition.


The 17th CIMC "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Finals will be held from August 11-15, 2023 at Lanzhou University of Technology. 523 teams from 243 universities will participate in the national finals, including 5 teams from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation and 2 teams from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. A total of 7 teams will advance to the national finals.



It is reported that the "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge was originally the National College Student Control Simulation Challenge and the National College Student Industrial Automation Challenge. It is a national level A-class competition under the strategic cooperation framework of the Ministry of Education and Siemens Company, a competition project in the "National Ordinary University Discipline Competition Ranking" and a competition project in the "National College Robot Competition Innovation Index". This competition has now become the largest and highest specification national A-class competition in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China. The 17th CIMC "Siemens Cup" China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge in 2023 was selected through multiple stages such as team registration, school competition, promotion selection, and scheme review. 7180 teams and more than 25000 participating teachers and students from 699 universities across the country competed for the national finals. In recent years, our school has taken the China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge as an opportunity to promote practice and learning through competitions, actively exploring innovative talent cultivation models, leading more students to participate in scientific research and innovative practice, and helping the country cultivate outstanding engineering talents.
