On the morning of November 8, 2023, the College of Electrical Engineering held a general meeting for the replacement of the Graduate Student Association at Room 115, Wenshan Building, Sanjiang Campus. Guo Sheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering, Lu Rongshuang, Director of the Graduate Work Office, and Li Xinyan, Graduate Counselor. All members of the Graduate Student Association and 2022 and 2023 graduate students attended the meeting, which was chaired by Fei Sipeng, a member of the Presidium of the Graduate Student Association.
At the beginning of the conference, the Chairman of the 7th Graduate Student Association, Shi Yan, summarized and reported on the work of the Graduate Student Association over the past year, proposed future directions for efforts, and expressed expectations and blessings to the new cadre of the Graduate Student Association. The 8th Minister of Life, Xia Qiangwei, delivered a speech as a representative of the new Graduate Student Union, stating that he will live up to the heavy trust of teachers and members of the previous Graduate Student Union, move forward courageously, explore and innovate, and take the work of the Graduate Student Union to the next level.
Subsequently, Professor Lu Rongshuang, the director of the Graduate Work Office of the School of Electrical Engineering, presented an appointment letter to the members of the 2021 Graduate Student Union of the School of Electrical Engineering.
Finally, Guo Sheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering, gave a speech. He first affirmed the work of the Graduate Student Union and also thanked the student cadres of the Graduate Student Union for their contributions. And put forward several hopes for the members of the new graduate association: first, positioning themselves as "accurate" and playing a leading role; second, clarifying their functions and focusing on service purposes; third, deepening reforms and practicing reform practices. While exercising and breaking through oneself, earnestly studying professional knowledge, achieving a win-win situation between learning and work, continuing to carry forward and inherit the fine traditions of the School of Electrical Engineering, and contributing to the development of the School.
The current conference has come to a successful conclusion. We believe that with the efforts of the new graduate association, we will enhance our understanding, think carefully, conduct in-depth research, listen to the opinions of teachers and students, steadily promote the work of the graduate association of the School of Electrical Engineering, and achieve greater progress and more gratifying results.
